Well, it's official. I'm back in the classroom, teaching art part-time. When I took a break from teaching in a public school classroom five years ago, I thought that I was done with it. Over a year later I started tutoring part-time at a local school and realized how much I enjoy being in an academic environment. I love teaching and working with students. After tutoring for 4 years, I was blessed to find my current teaching job at a local elementary school. While I still had a ton of art resources/lesson plans to use from my past teaching experiences, I'm so thankful for all of the teaching blogs, websites and Pinterest pages that have become popular in the last five years. These websites have so many creative ideas and tips. I'm also thankful for our latest art resource which can be used in any classroom setting. Our "Raise Your Hand" poster was actually created with the help of my 9 year-old nephew. We traced his hand and then had him to color in a large portion of the design. What are some of your favorite classroom posters?
