Reminiscing.........

While fall is definitely beautiful and inspiring, it can also be quite chilly. Since, I prefer warmer weather over cooler weather, I'm reminiscing about one of the trips we took this summer to Savannah, GA. Savannah is a beautiful city full of rich history and culture. Our hotel was centrally located which allowed us to do a walking tour and see an enormous amount of sculptures, architecture and memorials. There is a sculpture entitled "The Waving Girl" by Felix de Weldon which sits near the river. It memorializes Florence Martus who greeted the incoming and outgoing ships of the Savannah Harbor for 44 years by waving a handkerchief. You can learn more about the sculpture by clicking here.
